The Boston Children’s Museum has a collection of over 50,000 objects including historical Amaricana, globe-spanning cultural artifacts, and natural history items. As part of their 100th birthday celebration, the museum invited a number of artists to create displays in the museum’s internal window vitrines using objects from the collection. The theme was the alphabet, and my windows was “‘L’ is for Lunch,” which explored lunch containers from around the world. Many of the vessels contained pieces of art created with foods from the vessel’s culture of origin.
